As today is a cold drizzly Sunday and the clouds are about to open up at any given moment I decided to have a typical Gisborne Sunday- Fish and Chips in Tolaga Bay. Gusty and wet isn't the best day to take a stroll down the wharf but it is always an impressive sight. The wharf was built between 1926-28, and its amazing to see it still standing...just.
The locals have for years been trying to get together enough funding to be able to fix it up and I think (I should know better) that they have finally received enough to go ahead. So hopefully it will be standing for another 80 years or so.
